Bought a Crane Powermax Camshaft from PAW along with PAW HD lifters ,
a oil pump , pick up and new pump drive.

After placing a March 2.5" pulley on the Motor I gained about 3psi of
extra boost on average and Max boost when dumping the clutch reached well
into 15+ PSI. That same day some type of seal whether it was an Intake ,
Piston Ring or head gasket I dont know yet , but I had alot of air pushing
out of the hole in the valve cover.
It was like a steaming coffe pot if that helps you invision it.
So I decided to just let her sit until I felt like screwing around with it.
That was in november , and this winter has been awful cold, as you may know I have a 1975 nova
taking up restoration in the garage , so the s10 has just been sitting in the driveway.
I had seen a seller listing 2.8 v6 crate motors on Ebay since mid 2002.
They always sold for around 3-400 dollors , which was higher than I like to spend , but I noticed he always listed them for $50 no reserve
just tons of people saw them and bid them to hell! Well , I surf ebay like all the time so I
looked up the seller and looked at his previous auctions from november , some of which included
the 2.8 crate motors. I noticed the last auction closed extremly low at around $150 and I began to get very anxious
that I too could wind up getting one around that price.
Around christmas I watched as the seller listed 3 2.8 crate engines with a $50 starting price no reserve.
Nothing unusual , except he listed them on a 3 day listing instead of his normal 7 day , and the auctions were set to close the day before christmas eve.
I watched as the listing approached 24hrs , and had taken into account a bid placed on one of the engines for $50.
when I awoke the next day I noticed the seller had tken the reserve price up to $180 so he wouldnt get burnt.
However he could not change the starting price of the one engine with the $50 bid because Ebay does not allow you to change auction settings if someone has placed a bid.
So I stalked the auction and beat out some lame first timers with just a couple ticks on the clock and Nailed it for $66!!!
Thats right baby , the KING of bargins struck like a rattle snake in the weeds!!!
Check it out~

With that being said , I am not currently building a 3.2 stroker.
I have the JE 3.1 pistons and crank for sale , and If they dont sell I will just keep them obviously , I'll have the old 2.8 and I can always build it later.....

Here are some pictures of the Heads I am porting and Polishing for the build up.
Note these are just preliminary pictures , no way am I done , no runner work yet.

The heads will be given a regular valve job and stainless steel valves will be used.
I successfully made an ALDL Interface for my Lap top computer and am now running checks with WINALDL.
I will try to make a page on what parts and how I made the interface.
This Baud reader can be downloaded at
http://www.winaldl.webhop.net
The program is freeware but the author does accept donations via Pay pal.
I will donate to the author , so should you.
I data loged with WINALDL and saw I need to make some adjustments. The knock sensor as I expected , is
sending false signals because the exhaust is so loud , or the unit is faulty. I need to adjust my TPS.
I also need to get a speedometer box from an s10 with 4.10 gears. I am looking into burning chips.
The truck is not utilizing an FMU , It will take time to decide the route to take...
Here are some pictures of the shaft rocker set up

I had to take the blower off the truck two days after I had originally installed it. The silicone I used was not gasoling and oil resistant. I made gaskets from a sheet of
grey paper gasket roll, and I used a cement like sealer. All is well. I also switched the supercharger case oil to a thicker weight. At max boost the pressure is 5 pounds.
I will be ordering a 2.65" pulley from ASP to try and get 8-9 psi.

Supercharger is on. It was alot of work rerouting all kinds of things , fabbing a plate system for the TBI, finding the correct size belt , etc etc etc.
I did not install my reworked heads. It sounds wicked man.
I cut up a aluminum street sign and turned the tbi so that the right rear
varajet hole and the front right top plate hole lined up with the TBI. On the side of the top plate I ground the area
and I turned a bolt upside down sent it through the sign plate and to hold down the plate on that
side I bored and taped in a sheet metal screw. I made a TBI Spacer and set it on top of the Nitrous plate.
This with a little more grining on the vara jet top where the letters KF were cast using a dremel and a drum roll allows the TBI throttle lever to
swing unobstructed.
The throttle linkage needed no work. I cut the fuel lines and installed rubber hose and Ideal FI clamps.
It was a pain in the ass to get the right size belt. I used 5/16" allen bolts in place of the studs underneath and brass 3/8" plugs underneath for the egr passage allen bolts.
All from Lowes. The Vortech 8 rib pulley is 2.95" and the stock location 6 rib serpentine falls on the 8 rib with 1 unused rib on each side of the belt when its on the pulley.
Perfect alignment. I cut the stock radiator hose with scissors. I took rubber line to the brake vacuum port same size as the fuel , used a drill and bit to size the inside and fit it on the fageol brake booster brass port piece
then ran that line to the bigger OEM rubber line and it fit inside that lines inside diameter perectly , even the OEM clamp worked.
I cut the nitrous solinoid lines shorter and mounted them near the huffer. It was like a million little tasks on top of tasks within thoose tasks etc. It was alot of custom work dude.

I freshened up the supercharger and had a blast spining the blower with my Dewalt drill. The Fageol amazes me , it pumps out a shit load of air.
I even hooked up my Roto Zip and gave it a real high rpm blast.
I put it all back together and fitted on the vortech 8 rib pulley. I took more measurements
and It looks like Im a winner! 3 5/8" to 3 3/4" from the passenger cylinder head puts me right with the 6 rib OEM belt and I have good room for adjustment either
direction.
James aka Moneyclip sold me his TBI spacer for $10.00 so once I get that I will rig it onto the VaraJet manifold instead of paying Fageol $175 for the made to fit TBI Top.
I also measured the height which is 2 - 2 1/4" taller than the OEM manifold , my 4" cowl hood is going to save the day! I belive the Current Ractive Cold air set up
will still work as well. The blower looks so cool all rigged up now. Im guessing its going to produce about 10-12 psi at WOT in the higher RPM'S.
If its Higher or lower its not a problem! All I have to do is order another from Vortech!!!! WOW!
When the Hogged heads and blower go on the power increase will be incredible , but no where near where it will be
next year.
Thats because Im throwing in my 3.1 crank and my Je pistons as well as a sick Lazer roller cam and a Commander 670
efi system.
And the 5153 NOS kit is staying on!!! 350 V8 S10's will eat my dust! From a 2.8 V6!

I bought a vortech 8 rib serpentine pulley to use on my Fageol blower. The Fageol blower is set up for a cog belt/and the 86 and under 2.8 liter v6 with
the vee belts and regular rotation water pump. I refuse to go to the vee belt set up so I have chosen to do my own serpentine belt configuration.
The vortech 8 rib pulley from a mustang was a shot in the dark. At first I had no Idea if the pulley would fit over the keyed fageol blower snout
but It does. The reason I bought an 8 rib is beacuse the extra 2 ribs on the pulley should allow me to get the pulley to line up with the OEM serpentine belt.
The A/C compressor must be removed as the supercharger snout will be on the drivers side near it.
I do plan on relocating the A/C compressor in the future because I want to keep the truck air conditioned but for now just making the supercharger work is my goal.
Had I found a B&M 2.8 mini blower(
Click Here!) I might have gone for it do to the fact it uses a simplier belt set up , using its own serpentine set up and a snout that is on the passenger side
and lets you keep the a/c in the Oem Location.
I did get a Fax from Fageol superchargers regarding some prices for certain parts I needed. But after seeing the $175 price tag for the TBI top manifold I have yet again decided to do things my way.
My Idea is to use the Vara Jet top but to grind it up and fit a Aluminum TBI spacer onto it and having a specialist weld it. I should be able to do this for about $75.
I also found out the blower uses silicone to seal top and bottom manifolds.
Of the other parts I needed of which being one stud and two egr plugs , I may just rig up my own parts yet again for less cost.
If I cant get it to work with the serpentine belt Its up for sale. But Its not likely I wont be able to get it to work.
But it isnt going to be a walk in the park. I have to make up fuel lines , my current cold air is going to raise up possibly causing clearance issues.
The water neck and hose location will be different.
I ported and polished my spare 2.8 heads with intention to put them on when The fageol goes on.
Eventually I will be using headman true dual headers with 1 1/2" primaries. But I currently dont foresee that
buy with my budget. Stay tuned.

I ported the Fageol Blower Manifold extensively. I have gone through the blower and am ordering parts such as the TBI top ,
gaskets , and extra studs , Im hoping he has a serpentine pulley available.
